International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB)


Summary: The U.S. National Committee for the International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics (USNC/IUPAB) serves as the focal point of U.S. participation in the IUPAB, a scientific union member of the International Council for Science (ICSU). The USNC/IUPAB works to support research and teaching in biophysics. Through cooperation with the Biophysical Society, the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the American Society for Cell Biology the committee promotes U.S. scientists’ participation in international activities. The International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics is a non-governmental, non - profit organization with four task forces concerned with: -Bioinformatics -Capacity Building and Education in Biophysics -NMR in Biological Sciences -Biomedical Spectroscopy
