International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG)


Summary: The International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) serves to build global interaction among research communities and promote advances in geological sciences and technology at the international level. The U.S. National Committee for the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (USNC/IUGG) represents the interests of the U.S. geological sciences community in IUGG. The National Academy of Sciences is the U.S. adhering body to IUGG. The U.S. National Committee is staffed within the Board on International Scientific Organizations (BISO), a division of the National Research Council's Policy and Global Affairs Division.
