International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS)


Summary: The U.S. National Committee (USNC) for the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS) represents the United States in the IUPS, a scientific union member of the International Council for Science (ICSU). In this capacity, the USNC/IUPS works to further the advancement of the physiological sciences in the United States and throughout the world by promoting collaboration and the exchange of information. U.S. Visa Process Scientists and students traveling to the U.S. can obtain information from the International Visitors Office, a program operated by BISO. The committee's responsibilities include the following: -promoting research in the physiological sciences in the United States -nominating persons to represent the physiological community of the United States at general assemblies of the IUPS -encouraging cooperative enterprises that promote the advancement of physiological knowledge -conducting travel grant programs to assist U.S. scientists in attending the triennial IUPS congresses
