Soviet Social Science: The Challenge for the American Academic Community, Summary of a Meeting (1990)

Summary: In 1989 the Commission on Behavioral and Social Science and Education (CBASSE) believed there was a need to bring together scholars and representatives of funding organizations and professional associations to exchange information and to think strategically about how the American social science community could best respond to the opportunities to form new joint programs with Soviet social and behavioral scientists. This report summarizes such a meeting that took place August 24-25, 1989.
