Summary: This is a report of the proceedings from a National Research Council workshop with the Polish Academy of Sciences on Strategies for Industrial Energy Efficiency and Conservation During the Transition to a Market Economy. The workshop took place November 12-13, 1991, in Washington, DC, and was preceded by ten days of site visits to energy-oriented institutions in Pennsylvania. The workshop was to address strategies for developing, implementing, and managing industrial energy efficiency policy, a critical area of need in Poland.
