9th International Bridge Management Conference (2003)

Summary: The Transportation Research Board 9th International Bridge Management Conference was held April 28-30, 2003 in Orlando, Florida. This conference was sponsored by TRB Committee A3C17, Bridge Management Systems in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration. This conference provided a 2½ day program with presentations on bridge management concepts, strategies, health indices, management system implementation, asset management, life-cycle costs, bridge load testing, deterioration and reliability, utilizing the Internet, expansion joints, coating systems and concrete repair, scour modeling and experiences, safety and serviceability, performance measures and reliability, expert system and uncertainties, concrete deterioration, and future directions and challenges in bridge management.
